Family Medicine
Our Family Medicine providers care for patients of all ages. This includes, but is not limited to, routine physical exams, preventive care, cancer and cholesterol screening, immunizations, chronic disease care, pregnancy & newborn care, family planning and gynecological services.
Family Medicine staff include attending physicians and residents. Our residents are all licensed physicians who are pursuing advanced training to become Family Medicine specialists. Residents spend three years seeing patients at the GRMDC under the direction of the Family Medicine attending providers.
Pediatrics
Our Department of Pediatrics is a medical home for children from newborn through age 18. We offer comprehensive services that include well-child care, immunizations, sick visits, and school and sports physicals. We provide an inviting space for children, ensuring they feel comfortable when they come see their health care provider.
Additionally, our pediatricians are well versed in the changes that tweens and young teens are going through both physically, mentally and emotionally. The Pediatrics team works closely with our Behavioral Health specialists to ensure adolescents have the support they need to manage the pressures faced at this age.
Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine offers adult care, providing comprehensive primary care to those ages 18 and older. This includes routine physicals; same day visits for pressing health issues, pre-operative physicals, and management of chronic problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic heart and lung diseases.
Obstetrics
We provide obstetric care to women of all ages. Our Family Medicine physicians care for women during their entire pregnancy. Our providers work closely with the obstetrics team at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and all routine tests and specialty services during pregnancy are conducted on the hospital campus.
Gynecology
It is very important that women receive regular gynecological care and GRMDC has a superior team of providers dedicated to helping women feel confident and comfortable. Our team also includes a gynecologist from BMC who specializes in more complex gynecological problems. We provide the following services:
- Cervical cancer screening (pap smear)
- HPV screening
- Endometriosis screening
- Colposcopy
Podiatry
Our podiatry department provides primary foot care, including evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of foot conditions and ailments including: ingrown and diseased nails, diabetic foot conditions, athlete’s foot, plantar warts, bunions, plantar fasciitis, metatarsal stress fractures, sports-related foot problems, tendonitis, and arthritis.
To provide the best care possible, our podiatrists collaborate with physicians at Boston Medical Center’s vascular surgery, infectious diseases, endocrinology, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and pain management. Orders for, and instruction about, appropriate use of custom molded shoes, orthotics, and braces are also provided.
Behavioral Health and Social Services
Mental health is important at every stage of life , from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Our highly qualified staff work side-by-side with your primary care provider to set up supportive services, from food and housing resources to individual therapy and/or medication management.
Our Behavioral Health and Social Services team includes a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Psychiatrist, and Community Health Advocate.
We offer a range of services, including:
- Individual therapy for adults, adolescents, children, and families
- Adult psychopharmacological evaluation and medication management
- Psychiatric and substance abuse evaluation and referral
- Crisis intervention
- Treatment and support for common diagnoses, including but not limited to:
- Chronic pain
- Grief and loss
- Substance use disorder
- Stress and anger
- Trauma
- Anxiety and depression
- PTSD
- Bipolar Disorder
- ADHD
- Schizophrenia
We also offer domestic violence safety planning and referrals to community resources.
Dentistry
Our dental care department strives to help patients establish healthy dental hygiene practices at an early age for the best oral health outcomes throughout their lives. We provide dental care to patients as young as two years old, through adulthood.
We offer a wide range of services from basic and preventive dental care, such as exams, cleanings and sealants, to simple extractions, fillings and dentures. We also provide special deep cleanings with anesthesia (if needed), scaling, and root planning. We maintain partnerships with the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and the Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgical Department at Boston Medical Center.
Laboratory
GRMDC has a full-service laboratory on site to provide you with convenient care. The lab provides comprehensive services including tests related to:
- Anemia

- Prenatal testing
- Routine blood work
- Sexually transmitted diseases

Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT)
GRMDC offers integrated treatment for substance use disorder within our primary care clinic. We offer medication-assisted treatment with suboxone or naltrexone, overdose education, and risk reduction counseling. We also have specialty services, including treatment of Hepatitis C.
Sports Medicine
Our Sports Medicine physician provides care to patients of all ages and activity levels for various musculoskeletal problems that do not require surgery. These conditions include acute injuries such as muscle strains and ligament sprains and more chronic conditions like arthritis throughout the body. Our physician can help diagnose the cause of these pains and perform ultrasound-guided injections to help get patients back to their favorite activities.
