Patient Resources
Language and Translation
At GRMDC, we are committed to ensuring that all members of our multilingual community receive the care and information they need in their preferred language.
Access to Qualified Medical Interpreters
Our partnership with Boston Medical Center provides professional medical interpretation services for patients and families who prefer to receive health care information in a language other than English. For patients who are deaf or hard of hearing, TTYs and assistive listening devices are available upon request. Please confirm your preferred language with our front desk.
Please do not bring anyone to interpret for you or use family members for medical interpretation, as this is not allowed under federal law.
150+ Languages Available
These services are available free of charge, 24/7 in-person, over the phone, and via video, covering more than 150 languages, including the top 15 spoken in our community:
Written Translations and Patient Support
In addition to interpretation services, Boston Medical Center provides written health materials, including after-visit summaries and MyChart access in various languages, ensuring all patients have the resources they need to manage their care.
For more information, contact Boston Medical Center’s Interpreter Services at 617.414.5549.
We know our patients as people — their language, culture, and racial and gender identities — so we can better understand how those factors influence their health.
