Boston Medical Center has achieved Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Association (ANCC)! 

Magnet designation is the highest national credential for nursing excellence, quality patient care, and innovations in professional nursing practice. Fewer than 10 percent of hospitals in the country receive this honor, so it’s truly an extraordinary honor. 

“I am so proud of the fact the BMC, [which the Greater Roslindale and Medical Center is a department of,] received Magnet designation from ANCC. As a Community Health Center and department of BMC, the nurses here go above and beyond servicing the needs of our patients.  It is reflected in how we triage our patients, how we take the time to answer all questions and concerns. It is reflected in the way we follow up with patients after hospitalizations.  It is reflected in how we make sure the greater Roslindale community is serviced by providing vaccinations and Covid testing. It is reflected in the exceptional care that every nurse provides without exceptions.  I am so proud that Greater Roslindale was able to take part in the Magnet process which showed how great all BMC nursing truly is,” said Chekesha Carter, RN, Nurse Manager, Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center.
