Nurtury operates six centers and supports 130 family child care providers in Greater Boston. As COVID-19 cases forced some locations to close temporarily for quarantining and sanitation, they realized the needed a better solution for testing support. Jennifer Trieu, MD, medical director at GRMDC and parent, realized the need to help Nurtutry and GRMDC has partnered with them. Any Nurtury employee or family who calls for an appointment will be prioritized.
2020 has taught us many lessons, including how to be agile and adapt to changing conditions. With so many people working from home, kids going to school at home, and not wanting to go out in public, even for an important doctor’s appointment, we have been using electronic means to stay connected with our patients, mainly through telehealth appointments. For patients who are concerned about the efficacy or safety of these appointments, we’ve put together a list of FAQ’s to answer questions you may have. If you have additional questions please give us a call at 617-323-4440.
For more than 50 years, community health centers have played an integral but often unheralded role in our nation’s healthcare system, delivering neighborhood-based primary care tailored to the unique cultural, social, and health needs of the diverse communities they serve, both urban and rural. GRMDC is proud to be part of this heritage and an advocate for our community.
Two local children, who also have a connection to the Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center, as they are the children of one of our board members, have come up with a way to take their passion and talent and turn it into a sweet way to raise money to support local COVID-19 relief programs including BMC COVID Relief Fund. We are proud of Lisa and Sophia!
